Pastors
Revs. Garrett and Marena Vittorio-Schindler with kids (1 and 3) Garrett has a background in mathematics and education having attended Indiana State, while Marena's background is in music studying at DePauw and then Emory for her master's in Sacred Music. They met in seminary at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. After nearly ten wonderful years in the Catskills of New York serving separate congregations, they are thrilled to be back in their Hoosier homeland serving as co-pastors. While they didn't grow up in the area, Marena's grandmother lived in Rush county where Marena loved visiting as a child. Now, Garrett and Marena have the honor of renovating the family heritage homestead where her family has farmed for 7 generations. "What a blessing that Greensburg First took a leap of faith with us! It is a joy to be able to worship as a family in this special place." Garrett and Marena enjoy kayaking, traveling, attending sporting events and theatre/music performances, and twirling their kiddos around the house to toddler dance music. They dream about homesteading by assisting with the extensive gardens and orchard on the farm and getting some animals. "We are eager to get to know this community and serve however God guides us." |
