For You, Our Visitor

I am the congregation
A community of believers
The First Presbyterian Church
of Greensburg - and I welcome you.

I am old
I am in the middle years of my life
I am young - and
I welcome you.

I am friendly, bored, shy
frightened, kind, angry
generous, hurried
I am humanity - and
I welcome you.

I am here because I am not perfect
For I struggle to become what God
wants me to become - and
I welcome you.

As children of God
there is an unbreakable bond
between you and me
So it is as a fellow pilgrim
that gratefully
I welcome you.

It is my desire that your vision and mine
will be broadened, strengthened
by today's worship
so together
we will understand
that humankind's true destiny
is only to be servants
of God.

I welcome you.

What to Expect

We have a church building with a lot of stairs!
They not only raise our spirits to the heavens
but our heartrates through some physical exercise.
That said, any way you enter our church you will find stairs.  Don't let that stop you! Our beautiful sanctuary is on the top level, so if you come for worship, keep climbing and you will find us.

Thankfully, we have an elevator.  To find it, enter from the front of the church and take the walkway that is between our building and the bank.  It will take you into a kitchenette that has an elevator in it.
From there, you can find our sanctuary on the top level, our reception hall for social gatherings, our education wing, including the nursery play place,
and the basement.

We have childcare during worship for kids through kindergarten.

Our deepest desire is to create an atmosphere where grace and love are celebrated,
where minds and hearts are engaged,
and where the message is relevant for daily living.

This Fall we hope to offer programs for children
including faith formation and music and movement for our littlest ones.

We are also brainstorming special programs for seniors.

As we strive to determine what life is like after the pandemic, stay tuned as we create many new ministry and educational opportunities.
