Church Community
"[Community,] a group of folks with common purpose; bonded through inclusive and loving collaboration."
~Dave Kenyon
Over the years we have lived out being a community in many ways. Two such ways were Family Fatih Night and TOWN (Together on Wednesday Nights). To learn more about them, please read below. As for now: Coffee Hour has returned and we enjoy Weiner Wednesdays on the 4th Wednesday of the summer months. Check out some recent photos below.
FAMILY FAITH NIGHT
Family Faith Night started in the Spring of 2007 when a couple of families felt God’s calling to begin FFN to provide opportunities for children of the church and community to grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.
It continued until 2016 when our Youth leader decided to step down.
FFN was followed by what we called our TOWN meetings (Together On Wednesday Night). Many individuals and groups had a variety of ideas for classes of all ages. We started with a meal, and then split into our classes.
In the summer, families volunteer to hold what we call Wiener Wednesday. Each Wednesday a family hosts a wiener roast at their home and everyone brings a side dish or dessert. We always keep God in our meetings and get-togethers, but we also have a lot of fun and camaraderie.
