Bread of Life
The Greensburg Community Bread of Life opened in August, 2002, with the mission to provide a free meal to those in need with God's caring love. Through this mission Greensburg Community Bread of Life has been able to currently serve over ? meals a month.
Since 2005, a team of members from the First Presbyterian Church have had an ongoing commitment to volunteer the 1st Monday of each month. They prepare, serve and deliver meals to 500+ residents each day. In addition to volunteering, the church has an annual mission giving commitment. Members also donate food and Presbyterian Women has assisted with monetary gifts.
Bread of Life serves meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 until 5 p.m. for most of the year. (During the summer months, they do not serve on Thursdays as the YMCA provides lunches to kids during that time.) They are located on South Wilder Street.
